Your responsibilities would include:
  • Acting as the global lead for buying and coordination of category
  • Optimize Total Cost of Ownership
  • Initiating, negotiating and performing contracts with suppliers
  • Developing and contributing to global category strategy to achieve purchasing performance indicators
  • Executing RFQ process and analysing quotations to provide sourcing decisions based on given technical and commercial project aspects
  • Supporting global development teams in key projects with the research and selection process of dedicated suppliers
  • Establishing, developing and maintaining relationship with key suppliers globally
  • Supporting Supplier Quality Assurance and Logistics for dedicated commodity

 

You would need to meet the following requirements:
  • Academic degree in engineering, business administration or similar
  • Hands-on experience in a category purchasing role in an industrial environment, preferably in the automotive sector
  • Excellent analytical and negotiation skills, and a solid understanding of automotive business drivers
  • Ability to understand technical aspects and interlinks of commodity and customized raw materials
  • Strong interpersonal and social skills, and the ability to work in a matrix and international organization
  • Demonstrated relationship-building skills
  • Effective computer skills in SAP and MS Office
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Good communication skills in English (spoken and written), German or French is considered an asset
