Program Purchaser (m/f)

A company is only as good as its people. And, as we always want to be at the top of our game, you’ll need to be there too if you want to work with us. We are currently looking for the right person to join our Purchasing Department.

Your responsibilities

• Prepare RFQ packages and process inquiries to released and potential new suppliers
• Analyze supplier quotations & provide recommendations for sourcing decisions based on given technical and commercial project aspects
• Initiate, negotiate and secure up-to-date contracts with suppliers for direct material (e.g. Non-Disclosure Agreements, Letter of Intent, Framework Agreement, Supply Agreements) and ensure material cost budgets are met
• Ensure competitive cost estimates from Purchasing for new business RFQs through benchmarking, negotiations, and design to cost activities
• Own and manage Purchasing deliverables for business line development programs; secure on-time purchasing deliverables for competitive sourcing and flawless program launches, hit material cost financials in business cases
• Own and manage on-time Purchasing deliverables for business line product localization projects and ensure material cost financials are met
• Develop category purchasing strategies and implement yearly price improvements for direct materials
• Establish, develop, and maintain relationship with key suppliers

Your profile

• Academic degree in Engineering
• Minimum 3 years engineering and purchasing experience in an automotive environment
• Excellent analytical and negotiation skills
• Solid understanding of automotive business drivers
• Effective computer skills (MS Office)
• SAP MM (Material Management) knowledge
• Strong interpersonal and social skills, ability to work in a matrix and international organization
• Willingness to travel
• Fluent in Spanish and English (written and spoken), any other languages are considered assets
