Your responsibilities

  • Developing theoretical approaches to describe sensor functionalities and environmental interactions
  • Developing and validating software applications to improve the efficiency of product and process development
  • Carrying out sensor signal processing and algorithm development including machine learning algorithms
  • Handling multi-physics simulation topics
  • Cooperating with all departments requiring scientific support worldwide
  • Preparing status reports and customer reports
  • Supporting in the scientific cooperation with universities and institutes as well as customers and suppliers
  • Possibility to supervise MSc / PhD students
  • Contributing to the Intellectual Property process and patent writing


Your profile

  • Academic degree in Physics or Mathematics
  • Expertise in mathematical modelling and fundamental aspects of Physics
  • Familiar with Data Analysis Methods
  • Basic knowledge in machine learning and signal processing
  • Good programming skills (MATLAB, Simulink)
  • Basic programming skills in Python / C / C++
  • Good knowledge of simulation software (e.g. Ansys, LS-Dyna, Comsol, CST)
  • Ability to quickly assimilate new theoretical and experimental topics
  • Goal-oriented, interdisciplinary approach
  • Creativity, team spirit and a pro-active attitude
  • Good communication skills
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt quickly
  • Fluency in English (written & spoken) is required, German and/or French is considered an asset
