Your responsibilities

  • Acting as an interface between Category Purchasing and cross functional teams for customer programs and purchasing projects
  • Optimizing purchasing’s participation in projects and improving program purchasing processes
  • Ensuring competitive cost estimates for new business RFQs through benchmarking, negotiations and design to cost activities
  • Negotiating and managing contracts with suppliers
  • Identifying and developing potential suppliers
  • Managing purchasing deliverables for business line development and product localization programs, continuously improving the company’s gross margin and cashflow
  • Generating and driving material cost improvement ideas, conducting cost analysis and business case calculations
  • Reporting project status including timing and material costs on a regular basis

 

Your profile

  • Academic degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management or similar
  • At least 5 years’ experience in Project Purchasing or Program Management in an international automotive business environment
  • Good understanding of automotive electronic product manufacturing processes
  • Solid skills in material cost estimation and project management
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Highly motivated, persistent, taking the leadership in managing project objectives and processes
  • Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal and social skills
  • Effective computer skills in SAP MM and MS Office
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written), German or French is considered an asset
