Signal Processing and Algorithm Engineer (m/f)

Your responsibilities would include:
- Analyzing internal algorithm requirements and extracting algorithm design targets
- Identifying and analyzing algorithm subsystem weaknesses and performance, developing quality reporting and collaborating with other engineers
- Developing and maintaining algorithm/pre-processing concepts and solutions
- Exploring state-of-the-art algorithm concepts
- Modelling and simulating algorithm behavior
- Supporting the documentation of the algorithm/pre-processing development status
- Implementing efficient, hardware-aware algorithm designs with strong cost-benefit focus
- Promoting best practices and reusable methods
- Developing tools to support the analysis of your algorithm solutions
- Defining algorithm test plans and verifying designs through simulation, testing and debugging
- Validating and analyzing performance reports with expected design goals
- Analyzing algorithm subsystem performance and defining mitigation plans
- Supporting quality reporting and documentation
- Contributing to continuous improvement and cross-technology exploration
You would need to meet the following requirements:
- A team player with university degree in Electronics, signal processing, computer science, mathematics or equivalent
- Profound knowledge in the development of state-of-the art radar technology and perception algorithms for different sensor technologies (e.g. radar, 2D/3D cameras, lidar)
- Excellent know-how of Matlab and Simulink
- Experience in developing optimized algorithm implementations for embedded hardware is a plus
- Good knowledge of radar signal processing chain
- Basic knowhow in data fusion is an advantage
- Basic knowhow in FMEA, Functional Safety (ISO 26262), vehicle bus systems, AUTOSAR is considered an advantage
- Basic knowledge of C/C++, DOORS, SVN
- Goal oriented attitude with intrinsic motivation to find creative solutions
- Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Fluency in English is mandatory, German and/or French are considered strong assets
